COVID-19: Governor of Cross River State sleep at Itu bridge overnight to ensure no one comes into the state

The Governor of Cross River State Senator professor Benedict Ayade was spotted sitting and watching out at the calabar-itu bridge, a bridge that links Cross River State with Akwa ibom State to ensure no one comes into Cross River during the border Closure.

Before Now, it was reported that the security agencies assigned to carry out this task where collecting bribes and allowing motorists into the state, this earlier brought the intervention of the Commissioner for Health Dr. Betta Edu as she and her team took to the bridge to Ensure that the borders were Closed totally.

The governor of cross River State has always been at the top of the matter as face mask were produced from the Cross River garment factory and distributed to cross riverians for free before enforcing the no masks no movement policy which could attract a fine of three hundred thousand naira.

Also the two hundred and thirty nine million given by the federal government to distribute to the poor and vulnerable in Cross River State is been distributed, twenty thousand naira for each family and extra twenty thousand naira sponsored by the Cross River State government for the pregnant women.
