The recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa has raised serious outcry in several African countries particularly in Nigeria as people have allegedly been killed and tortured with their properties being destroyed.
According to several reports, South Africans have been attacking foreigners, particularly Nigerians in their country.
Many celebs have taken to social media to condemn the acts including Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage. The musician wholly condemned the attacks as she sympathized with victims of xenophobia in South Africa.
She tweeted: “I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is SICK. For this reason I will NOT be performing at the upcoming DSTV delicious Festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
