Reyes, who was part of Arsenal's Invincibles in 2003/04, was playing with Extremadura in the second tier of Spanish football prior to the tragic accident this morning.A Massive Summer Transfer Window For Arsenal | AFTV Transfer Dailyhttps://t.co/SxnGyuadmc#AFC #AFTV pic.twitter.com/zQol0fVVNW— AFTV (@AFTVMedia) June 1, 2019
The youngest player ever to play for Sevilla aged 16, Reyes went on to play for both Madrid clubs and Benfica before sealing a dream return to the Andalusian outfit.
He then played a season with Espanyol as well as turning out for Cordoba and most recently Extremadura, where he had signed a five-month contract in January.
Our condolences go out to his loved ones at this tough time.
